We’re going to face challenges in the United States, of course, too.
These entities are so wildly politically connected.
They are some of the greatest and biggest donors to politicians in the world.
These are the wealthiest people in the world, the people that head these tech companies.
So I think that what’s implied in all of that is that money has really, really big influence.
I’m sure that it’s like that everywhere in the world. I know it’s particularly like that right here, right now in the United States of America.
But the other side of it is that as popular as all of these things are and how frequently they are used, be it Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, et cetera, for many people, they don’t like the heads of these corporations.
They don’t like these companies, and they do recognize what it is doing to them. So at least part of that is going to resonate with the people.
I don’t know that this will resonate or land with politicians.
And of course, the United States structure is so different because we have local governments, we have state governments, we have federal government.
And it’s not always easy to create legislation like they were apparently able to execute in Australia, something that would be so broad and sweeping.
And there’s always issues of First Amendment that they’re going to battle back on.
And there will be lawsuits. And I’m sure that there’s issues like that they have to face.
But one piece at a time, I think that we can beat this back a little bit.
I think that the fact that so many states have banned cell phones in schools is going to lend itself towards other ideas and other opportunities for young people.
And maybe, just maybe, this vicious cycle that we’ve been stuck in for the last 15 years might start to get a little bit of a reverse trend, maybe on its own.
Maybe the marketplace will dictate it, which is ultimately what we would all like the best.
