“You should start to try and fix it as soon as possible. If somebody’s not, and you can, I see what the remedy is that they need to do this and this and this. Then ask them to do this and this and this, and get them on the record and start making, start making a record of what’s going on. You may even need to start writing it down, so that if it does come to court, you then have a history you can present to a judge or jury that says, this is what’s been going on, and we’ve tried to fix it this way and this way and this way, and it’s been unfixable. We’ve not gotten any cooperation. And so, that needs to be documented.

And that’s probably one of the hardest things for most people to understand and to follow. And that is to make sure that everything you do in the course of your business is documented. Most things are not, even the minimal documentation, isn’t often followed. But other things need to be documented too. If you’ve got problems, document them.”
