Video – Attorney Andrew Dósa Answers: Will An Insurance Company Argue About Everything In My Personal Injury Case?

Andrew Dósa – Personal Injury Attorney – Alameda County, CA

“Insurance companies will argue everything. What they will argue is that they (client) didn’t need to take that much time off work because they weren’t that badly injured. Although, I’ve had this argument. I had a client who really couldn’t take off more than a couple of days of work. And when that client went back to work, before the doctor gave approval, although the doctor didn’t say ‘you can’t go’, the insurance company made the argument that if they’d taken off more time they would have healed sooner.”

“They’re going to take the opposite side of the coin, no matter what.”

“They’re going to shoot at you no matter where you go. That’s one of the reasons why there’s a good reason to consider having an attorney who’s used to the volley from the insurance company. They’ll fight over how much the medical bills should have been that was overbilling. They’ll argue about how much treatment was required. They’ll argue about the nature of the injuries. They’ll argue wage loss. They’ll argue everything that they can.”

“Excuse me for saying, but it seems like such a waste of time. It’s just amazing to me what they will argue about.”

“There is no amount of distress that an insurance company will want to withhold from a plaintiff. They will do everything they can to be uncomfortable, unpleasant, and make it difficult.”
